Why coaching matters to me?
I’ve a held a lifelong passion for self-development, growth, and learning. This was partly driven by the belief instilled in me by my parents that if you work hard, anything is achievable.
Whilst I experienced success throughout my career, I couldn’t help feeling that something was missing. I slowly realised that in all my striving, I’d stopped being curious about who I was and what I valued and that compromising on these things came at a huge personal cost.
I decided to search for more meaning in my life, embracing discomfort and fear so I could reconnect with what was important. This led me to coaching, which has helped me to explore what’s possible if you genuinely believe you have the agency to choose.
I’ve also experienced the strength that comes from being more authentic, living life in alignment with what matters to me most, as well as the power of vulnerability and listening more to my intuition.
Through my coaching practice, I’m determined to help others get curious about what’s important to them, reconnect with their values and purpose so they can have the courage to live their lives from the inside out, being seen and heard for who they truly are, not changing themselves to fit the status quo.
This includes supporting them with Personal Growth, Career Clarity and understanding what it means to be a Leader in today’s business world.
What qualifies me?
I’m a practising and certified professional coach (CPCC) via the Co-Active Training Institute, one of the world’s largest and most respected professional coaching and leadership training organisations. I am also a qualified practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), awarded by the Coaching Academy, the world’s largest coaching school and accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). In addition to coaching, I work as a senior leader within a global technology organisation, supporting the business to grow through the recruitment of high-quality talent.
I know extremely well the challenges of being a leader within the business world, having spent nearly 20 years working with organisations across a variety of industries, managing large budgets and teams whilst driving transformational change.
At the core of all these roles have been the people – my greatest successes have come from understanding what makes people tick and how to engage them in a way which drives performance.
As a professional and certified coach, I’m passionate about providing the type of trusted support I wished I’d had earlier on in my life and career – to empower others to have the courage and confidence to ask for what they want and realise their fullest potential.
And in doing so, bring out the best in others.
A little bit about me personally
Having travelled, worked and lived in different countries, I’m now based back in Northern Ireland where I’m originally from.
I live by the coast with my husband and two dogs and enjoy swimming as well going to the theatre and live music gigs.
Whilst being home and closer to family brings me a lot of joy, one of the many benefits of coaching is that I get to experience the beauty of working with people from different cultures and backgrounds from across the world.
