In wonder coaching personal growth and career clarity

1 on 1 Personal Growth & Career Clarity Coaching

Think back to a time when you were young.

Do you remember being open, curious, and constantly amazed at everything around you?

How you were encouraged to experiment and fail for the purpose of growing and learning new things.

You were unapologetically you!

You then grew up and took on new roles and responsibilities at home and in work. Your sense of self and achievement became determined by the approval of others, particularly those in positions of authority, and how they think you should be and act.

Failure, in every sense of the word, became something to avoid, so you stopped taking risks and asking for what you want for fear of being judged.

But now you realise this comes at a price.

You’ve been letting others take advantage of you which makes you feel frustrated and angry. You tell yourself you’re being selfish and should be grateful for what you have, but on the inside, you feel pathetic, questioning is this all there is?

You’ve tried to share how you feel with friends and family, but they tell you it’s just a phase and not to let things get to you. They give you well-intentioned advice based on their view of the world, but it doesn’t feel right so you don’t take any action.

You’re starting to feel like all you do is complain and are sensing others are getting annoyed with you. No one likes to feel like a burden, so you shut down and say nothing, which makes you feel even more alone.

It’s likely you’ve tried looking for the answers in books, but their guidance is generic and doesn’t quite address your specific problem. You’re also overwhelmed by the number of checklists and recommended actions at the end of each chapter.

You’ve listened to some good podcasts and whilst you felt hopeful temporarily, the feeling didn’t last, and nothing has really changed.

Moving insight into action and meaningful change, living your life from the inside out, based on your own definition of success.

Through 1 on 1 coaching, I will offer you a safe and non-judgemental space where you will feel truly heard.

I will share reflections on what I’m hearing and act as your thinking partner to support you in finding your own answers. I will also encourage and believe in you, even when you do not.

As a practising, certified professional coach and someone who has been there and bought the t-shirt, I want you to get back to being in wonder at who you really are, to know what makes you tick and gives your life purpose.

I will then help you move this insight into action and meaningful change, where you are living your life from the inside out, based on your own definition of success.

This could mean going for that promotion or changing career, prioritising your needs at home, or letting go of friendships which no longer serve you.

This is not about everything being rosy. Life can be hard and overwhelming at times and change is scary. But you will start to see the possibilities that open up when you give yourself permission to choose what’s right for you, from a place of power and strength.

You will also be amazed at the ripple effect this has on those around you.

What to expect?

Knowing what you want and asking for it with confidence, courage, and clarity.

What will we cover?

The essence of my coaching is rooted in curiosity. I want my clients to question everything they believe to be true about themselves so they can live a more intentional and purposeful life.

By the end of our coaching engagement, my wish is for you to be able to answer the following questions with confidence, courage, and clarity.

Q) What do you need?
  • Being open and vulnerable about where you are today.
Q) Where are you now and what are you aiming for?
  • Getting clarity on your priorities – often starting with what you don’t want, then focusing on what you want instead and how you will know when you’ve got there.
Q) What gives you meaning and purpose?
  • Knowing which values are important to you, your vision for your life and the impact you want to make on those around you.
Q) Who are you when you’re at your best and what gets in the way?
  • Recognising when you’re at your most resourceful and tapping into this strength before making decisions, instead of acting out of fear, judgement, and guilt.
Q) What’s possible when you change your perspective?
  • Believing you have the power to consciously choose how you view situations or relationships. Taking charge and being bold in how you respond from a place of empowerment.
Q) How can feeling the intensity of your emotions help you learn from your experiences?
  • Exploring where you avoid or bury certain emotions (positive or negative) and instead experiencing these fully to give you greater awareness and self-insight.
Q) How is self-belief linked to personal pride and achievement?
  • Believing that all the answers to the questions or troubles you face reside within you. The evidence for this lies within the changes you’ve experienced and driven within yourself.

After the initial discovery session, where we design and agree how we will work together and align on the focus areas for the coaching, you will choose the topic for each session.

I want you to feel encouraged to decide what’s most important and valuable for us to discuss.

I only recommend fortnightly sessions for new clients as, in my experience, this level of frequency enables me to really understand who they are and sustains a certain level of momentum to facilitate the changes they want to achieve in their lives.

I do offer monthly sessions for recurring clients who have been through an initial coaching engagement with me.

I do not offer face to face sessions at this time, but I’ve found that most of my clients enjoy the flexibility of virtual coaching. They can also feel less inhibited to try different approaches when they connect with me in a quiet, comfortable space where they can be themselves.

Whilst there are some overlaps between coaching and therapy, therapists are trained to diagnose emotional problems and often support clients with healing, by delving into their past.

The coaching I practise focuses more on where you are today and where you want to be.

I assume you’re naturally creative, resourceful and whole and with the right support you can make brave choices and find your own solutions.  And in doing so, you may find yourself letting go of limiting beliefs or assumptions about yourself.

I’ve witnessed first-hand when my clients move from a place of uncertainty, frustration, anger, and fear to one of clarity, self-belief, and worthiness through working with me. However, if you discover through our sessions that coaching is not the right fit for you, I want you to feel empowered to discontinue our relationship and I will reimburse you for any unused fees paid in advance.

I will not divulge, either directly or indirectly, that we are in a relationship without your express permission, nor share any of the information we discuss during our coaching sessions.

As a certified coach, I adhere to the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) code of ethics. For more detail, please visit ICF Code of Ethics – International Coaching Federation (coachfederation.org)
